A few new things to communicate related to the research project ‘Histories of the Danish web in the 1990s’.
(1) The project description has been updated, the main news is that I have decided to focus the study on the foundational period of the World Wide Web in Denmark, that is the first five years of existence of a Danish web, from the establishing of the first Danish web server in September 1992 to begin 1997 when it became possible for private individuals to register their own domain name. Initially the study should have continued until the year 2000, but given the time I have to allocate to the project it is more than enough to end the study in early 1997.
(2) In the Timeline with key moments in the history (and pre-history) of the Danish web the layout has been improved, and I have started to edit it and add content which will continue in the coming months.
(3) I have established a YouTube channel with small videos related to the project. The YouTube channel supplements the Facebook group (in Danish) where the videos are also posted, along with other posts related to the history of the early web in Denmark.
